		≻MNEMA's Malayalam classes to continue successful run - Oct 2,2011 New England Malayalee Association (NEMA) will be offering Malayalam language classes for the second consecutive year, with the first class set for Sunday, October 9, from 2pm to 3.15 pm, at Burlington Library Hall on 22 Sears Street in Burlington, Mass... ≻NEMA donations to Salvation Army At the last NEMA celebrity show held in May, the Arts team had set up a table requesting donations for the Salvation Army. We managed to collect $100 thanks to the kindness of many. We were provided with a contact by IANH's Deepa Mangalat, who put us through to Rosemary Dykeman, the Social Services Director at the Nashua Salvation Army. Rosemary was excited to hear of our endevour, and rattled off a list of things that many people who came in were in need of. While we had initially planned on serving cake and coffee, once we heard of what was truly needed for donations, we switched gears. Asha Manish, Manish Kurup, and Sneha Jacob visited a local Costco and put the money to good use. We purchased canned food, soups, toilet paper, laundry detergent, cereal, ...... Needless to say it was all very happily and gratefully accepted at the Salvation Army. Please know your kind contributions were used to purchase very basic essential household items that will have helped quite a few families in need. Every little bit counts!
